delay in outbound connections

When dialing out, I have a significant delay after the other party
picks up before I hear them. Answer messages are clipped, the other party thinks it's a robocall and hangs up. It must be 2-3 seconds.
Any thoughts ? My provider is anveo. I don't know if it's a configuration issue or a provider issue

I have noticed more lag with Anveo vs CallCentric. I don't think I've noticed that much, but definitely an extra ring in my ear before the number I'm calling starts to ring vs Call Centric.
