I just got this Obi. I connected it to the router, which is connected via WAN to the internet. I followed the instructions exactly and there is a solid green power LED light on the device. It is a corded phone. There is no dial tone or anything when you pick up the phone. Nothing happens (there are no tone sounds when pressing the numbers) when I try to do **9222222222 or add device and enter **5 WXYZ. The add device attempt to connect eventually times out. What could be the problem with this?

Having the exact same problem.

I will add that I opened the TCP and UDP ports as instructed in the FAQ, tried moving the Obi100 to the DMZ all with no luck.

Also, I tried updating the firmware on the Obi. After, found a setting that told me the attached phone was "on the hook". I tried lifting the phone from the receiver but still got the same message after refreshing.

I have sent in a ticket from the above link.
