do I really need to set up 911 on GV/Obi110, if there are 3 cell phones at home?
I got rid of landline several years ago and have been using Vonage. I'm still new to Obi110 & Google Voice, but I think I'll get rid of Vonage in a month or two as well.
The only thing that I'm wondering about is 911. There are 3 cell
phones at home.(3 active lines on Verizon Wireless) In addition, I
also have 5 old/deactivated spare Verizon cell phones, but they can
dial 911 just fine.
I taped the phone numbers of the local 911 center(in local 10-digit form), the police, as well as the nearest fire station on all the corded/cordless phones connected to the Obi110, just in case.
In addition, three of my neighbors are police officers(one next door
and the others 4 and 7 doors down) :)
Having all that available... should I even bother with setting up
some sort of 911 dialing on my Obi110?
Thanks!

I think you are covered, but you might consider a giant bullhorn. ;D
lhm.:
www.smart911.com - if available in your area would be a good choice/asset.
Rick:
You should setup your OBi to dial the local emergency number WHEN you dial 911. Search the forums, many posts on this.
