Can Obihai product be adapted to support Dell Voice (Fongo.com) service ?

Looks like you can use http://www.freephoneline.ca/optionalServices powered by fongo and pay a $50 one time fee for a voip unlock key.  Then they send you the SIP/VoIP settings.

Might be a dumb question, but,

If you have the unlock key, does this mean you can move that phone # to another voip provider, or do you have to go through a porting request?

I have an unlock freephoneline key and want to move it to Anveo. Do I need to send Anveo the porting forms? or is the phone# then mine to take whereever??

I posted a topic just before about this... Now freephoneline.ca is managed by fongo.com so basically when you buy sip unlock ... it cost you 50 + tax. They send you relm server which is same Ip for both company either voip.freephoneline.ca or sip.fongo.com

I tried on device Obi202 with that. I am able to make a call but unable to receive it.

I do not know what is the cause... but I doing lot of research and it may be caused by my current isp provider modem... because that modem support a voip line too and we are using a phone line from them...

For install Obi device with fongo (freephoneline.ca) : http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=7112&sid=a489ee9c3831c809228632134d05fd95

ohhh, no, no, I know how to set that up. It's very easy. (with my obi100 of course).

My question was about the unlock key. If I have that already, does that mean I own that phone number and can put it to use with whatever voip company, or do I still have to request a port for the number??

thanks.

@Lina Oh for that I do not know... it better you contact the freephoneline.ca or fongo.com as we said.  But as far I know, you get the service and phone number for life time as long as you stay with them. But I do not know about the policy and step that you have to take to change with an other provider.

Hope you will find your solution. ;)
