Obi mysteriously goes into "there is no service available" mode

I have had this problem for a long time, but much more frequently in the past month. Since I don't use my landline (Obi) every day, I can't tell you how often this occurs.

I will go to make a call and get the message. Is there any way to be notified via email, whatever, when service goes down? Does it impact whether i can still get voicemails if people c all during the down time?

I don't believe it is an internet service interruption because I'm my wife is online all day and she'd know the moment it went down.

I am having the exact same problem. My Obi disconnects on it's own about 3 or more times per day. It even will disconnect mid phone call.

I have contact Obihai support and they told me to connect my OBi110 to a switch and then the switch to  my router. They said they also made some changes to my Obi110, but nothing has helped at all. I've tried everything support suggested.

Now support won't  even respond to me. I guess they have given up.

The strange thing is that I have had this Obi110 for a long time and never had a problem. Since the end of last year, it has been disconnecting all the time.

It would be great to at least be notified when it's disconnected and notify Obihai so they can try to fix the problem.

Often I don't know it's disconnected and my phone just doesn't ring.

There must be other people having the same problem.

Yes I have this too, on an Obi202 device, after the Google Voice issues/update on their voicemail pin needed security issues (see other threads).

Not sure if this is because our device is faulty or something does not match with the new Google Voice changes (even though I have updated to the new firmware 3.0.1 for Obi202).

I am using a Verizon Stratosphere II (415 not the 405!) 4G LTE mobile hotspot wireless for the Obi202 which has an ObiWiFi USB adapter. Other networking connection (laptop using wireless) are fine.

Its very annoying as I may miss phone calls. I need manually reset the Obi202 by using ***9 and then 1 to confirm from my phone. After few times of such, the connection comes back and the no voice service goes away.

Anyone else? Ideas? ObiHai people whom may respond to this?

Thanks!

Have a OBI 202 connected via ethernet directly to a router which is directly connected to a cable modem.  No wireless involved.  And it's been working with google voice all along.

When looking for reliable internet connections, a wifi connection to a LTE hot spot is not high on my list for reliable internet connections.

I know the 202 can log details to a syslog device.  It may be worth it to setup a local syslog server and have the obi send it's activity logs to it.  And see if you can see anything in the log that indicates any trouble the obi is having.

BillDoe:
Still having the issue despite numerous responses from support to "change this or reconfigure that." It has been online all day today but we'll see if its online tomorrow morning....
