How to use phone line for fax

I am using an OBI 110.  Is there a dialing method to use the phone line for a fax. I get paid faxing in my timesheet and don't want to face a problem getting it in on time.

dircom:
I have sent 3 or 4 faxes with my 110, just using GV
one had had to resend, the rest went thru just by connecting the fax to the phone port on the 110.

You may find that you have to turn off error correction on the fax machine and set the speed to the slowest possible, like 9600 baud, etc.

I have heard people complain that they can send a couple pages through VOIP and then it fails. You may have to fax no more than a few pages at a time if you get errors after a couple pages.

You might also check if you can scan and email the timesheet.

Decades ago I wondered why they could not come up with a fax system that didn't use crappy dial up phone lines. They did. They call it EMAIL :-)

Yep, I've always been using the email attachments to send the documents to the other end so I've forgotten about fax for many years until I had to dispute an incorrect charge on my credit card. The bank required me to send the proof to them via either snail mail or fax to their 1-800#. I had to take out the old USB 56Kbps modem then connected it to the laptop & the phone port on the OBi110 to fax 4 pages to the bank. The fax went through OK, though.

Thanks for the feedback.
This service is good.  My fax went through without a problem.
