911 options
(1/1)
cj4331:
I need something fairly simple and fairly inexpensive.
I would like E911 vs just converting 911 to a 7 digit emergency number.
Anveo is probably easy as it has a button on OBitalk's setup page just for that.
Bulk911 http://www.gv911.com/ has instructions for setting them up for e911 as well.
Bulk911 is $12 a year. How much does Anveo charge?
Which option is best?
There is so much info on it I'm confused. I've dialed 911 only twice in over 40 years that I can remember and neither time was a dire emergency but the next time I might not be calling to report a man in my backyard at 2am attempting to break into my car but a man kicking in my back door. I'd like for 911 to work even if I have to drop the phone after dialing to grab my gun.

Anveo charges $0.80 per month. They also provide a 933 number for testing 911 processing without calling 911.
However they require funding with $10 minimum the first time and a minimum of $20 thereafter.
