New set up and new problem

(1/1)

Johnny:
Hey guys,

I just got an Obi202 and here's my set up:

SP1 - Google Voice
SP2 - Voip.ms
SP3 - Callcentric
SP4 - Empty

Here's the problem:

When my wife uses her cell phone to call my Voip.ms account on SP2, and if I have my home phone (Verizon land line) as part of the "ring group" on my Voip.ms account, the phone will only ring one or two times and then go right to voice mail.

Problem is: It goes to my Google Voice voice mail.

If I go to my Voip.ms account and take my home phone off of the "ring group" and just have the Obi 202 and my cell phone on the "ring group" the calls come through fine and they don't go to voice mail.

Questions:  Why do the calls go to voice mail if I add my home phone (Verizon land line) to the "ring group" at Voip.ms and why if they did go to voice mail, why would they go to my Google Voice voice mail.  Why wouldn't they go to my Voip.ms voice mail?

Thanks..

Shale:
If GV does not detect that you have answered the call after 25 seconds, it goes to its voicemail. You would have to have the other voicemail or extension pick up sooner if it is going to get the call.

Johnny:
Thanks Shale,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I'm still tinkering around with my set up and if anything else comes up, I'll post back.

Still don't understand why the calls would go to GV voice mail if the caller was dialing my Voip.ms number.

Oh well, it's always something....
