Why do I continuously get this message when trying to make a call ?

"there is no service available to complete your call"

Rustifer

I just reset the touter and when I try to make a call I get the message - the number ***-***-****
was rejected by the service provider, reason is 500.

If I dial the number again, I get the message
there is no service available to complete your call

I'm having this problem as well.  I can't even call that echo test number.  The only suggestion I found in the Self-Help area was to add the Obi device as the DMZ Server on my router and reboot my router.  Did that.  No change.

My Dashboard shows my Google Voice service is connected and my Status LED is solid green.  All signs point to it working.

Can't wait until I/we can find a solution.

I would go to the OBiTalk Dashboard. to the right of the name that you gave
to your OBi, do you have a green icon under Status, which indicates
Online?  Click on the name that you gave to your Obi. Under
Configure Voice Service Providers (SP) does it say Connected or Registered
for the service provider that you are having the problem with?

To test for router problems if you have a separate router, consider
connecting the OBi directly to your modem without the router as a test.
Do your symptoms change?

Regarding "touter = router", there is a Modify that you can click on to modify a post. There is also a Remove.

I am also having this issue.  I am able to receive calls inbound without problem but get the "rejected by the service provider, reason is 500" message any time I try to dial an outbound number.

I am using Google Voice and my device config shows
QuoteSP1 -- Google Voiceâ„¢ Account -- Connected
Phone port configuration shows
QuotePrimary Line for Outgoing Calls Route to:    SP1 -- SP1
Phone Rings on Incoming Calls from:    SP1 -- SP1

It is not critical because we use our cell phones for most things, but since the idea of buying this device was to "keep our land line", it should work.  I seem to be missing something in the configuration or maybe a port that must be open from the outside to my Obi (although, really IP traffic should be going out when I am trying to make a call out).
