Vestalink trial has expired.

OBI dashboard won't allow me to re-hook up my google voice number.

Even tried deleting everything from the dashboard, but Vestalink website still shows connected at Vestalink, even when I power off the device!

Make it through the first step but apparently does not detect my device because it's still connected to Vestalink on their site?

Any ideas?  Thanks, Kirk

Add an OBi Device: SATUS

Failed to connect to your device.

Then though the next troubleshooting step and checks out OK and-get the echo back- so for sure it's not being blocked by a firewall, yet still no way to get my phone service back so far.

Emailed Vestalink to see if they can help?

Deleting your Vestalink SP on your OBi is not instantly reflected on the Vestalink web site. It can take quite a bit of time to disappear there.

You may want to delete your OBi from OBiTALK, reset it back to defaults with a paper clip, and then add it back into OBiTALK. Once added back to OBiTALK, you can set it up for Google Voice.

Thanks for the help.

Yes I already tried the paper clip, back to factory reset..and yes everything is deleted from the OBI dashboard.

I guess I just have to be patient and wait for Ryan to disconnect me from Vestalink on his end.

I pick up the phone and it says "there is a billing problem" so even though I deleted everything form the OBI dashboard, it's still connected to Vestalink weather I like it or not.

Back later tonight to see what's next.

Thanks again, Kirk

It seems as though you did not do a full factory reset on your Obi.  You need to retry the procedure.  If your obi is reset correctly you should not get "billing problem" as an error.

Here are the factory reset instruction from Obihai.

Troubleshooting
How do I perform a factory reset?
The first step in performing a full reset of the OBi is to remove the device from your OBiTALK web portal account. The second step is to depress the physical reset pin (button), found on the bottom of the OBi, to reset the settings on the actual device. After the OBi is fully removed from OBiTALK and reset with the physical pin, you may re-add the device to your OBiTALK account. You will also have to re-configure any service-specific credentials (username and password) to be used with the OBi device. Follow these steps to remove and reset your OBi:

Step 1: Remove the OBi From the OBiTALK Web Portal
1. Sign in to www.obitalk.com and select the device you are going to reset from the OBi Dashboard.
2. Select the "Delete Device" button located on the right side of the screen. You will be prompted to confirm. Click "OK".
3. After a few seconds, you will see a message stating, "The device was deleted successfully." Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Reset the OBi Device Using the Physical Pin (Button)
1. With a paper clip (or similar) depress the reset pin located at the bottom of the OBi.
2. While keeping the reset pin depressed, plug-in the power cord.
First, the Power LED will turn red, then become sold green.
Keep depressing the reset pin while this is occurring.
3. After 10 seconds, the Power LED will start to flash green (slowly).
You may now release the reset pin.
4. Within 5 seconds, the Power LED will start to flash green rapidly for about 3 seconds.
5. Next the Power LED will change to red briefly indicating the OBi is now rebooting.

The factory reset is now complete. You may now proceed to re-add the device to your OBiTALK account.
Important Note: You will need to re-configure any service-specific credentials (username and password) to be used with the OBi device.
Long live our new ObiLords!

Resetting the OBi with the paper clip alone is inadequate. You have to delete your OBi from the OBiTALK portal too. If you don't, any configurations stored on the portal will be pushed back into your OBi as soon as it connects to the network.

1) Delete your OBi from the OBiTALK portal.
2) Reset your OBi with a paper clip.
3) Add your OBi to the OBiTALK portal.
4) Configure your OBi via the portal for Google Voice.

Thanks everyone, yes that was it, the factory reset needed to be done over...had not waited long enough.

The "ten seconds" which I read somewhere is not long enough.. had to watch the light sequence run it's coarse which I missed the first time.

Thanks, I am up and running again.  : )
