Greetings All,
I recently purchased Obi100 and have it connected to my home phone. I set it up for use with Google Voice. Since I use Sprint, I used the Sprint Integration with GV and with Obi100. Now if anyone calls my cell phone, it rings on my home phone too. However, I have one issue. What if I need to call my home from my Sprint cell phone and vice versa? Since my Sprint Cell # and the Home phone # are the same, am I losing that ability?

What are my options?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Ashish F

I don't know if this will work, but give it a try.

Log into your GoogleVoice account.
Click on Settings.
Click EDIT under your Cell number.
Click Show Advanced Settings
If you have selected YES under Direct Access to Voicemail Click NO.
Click Save

Good question, when they are the same number, and the idea is that both are supposed to ring simultaneously, and the cell phone ringing is controlled by Sprint...

Thanks AzRobert. But it did not help. The only difference it made is that it asks me for a pin to access my VM when I call my number.

Maybe I should configure my Obi to work with an additional provider and if I get a number through them, use that to call my home?

Any other suggestions?

Regards,
Ashish

This might be a stupid question, but did you click "PIN required" instead of "No".

Get a free DID at IPKall here:
http://www.ipkall.com/

Set SIP URI to :   AshishF   @   xx.xx.xx.xx:5061

xx.xx.xx.xx is the WAN IP address of your cable modem.

OR

Set SIP URI to : AshishF   @   name.dyndns.com:5061
If you are setup on Dyndns.

SP2 of your OBi100 must be SIP and enabled.

Call your IPKall number and your OBi100 will ring.
I tested this on my OBi110.

Edit:
Forgot something.
5061 must be port forwarded to the OBi100 in you router.

Get a second GV number with a different gmail account and configure that new GV number to SP2 it will even have a different ring when you call.

Let me know how it works out.
