Author Topic: How to route softphone call to SP3 instead of SP1  (Read 42193 times)

Hi everyone

I have OBI202 that is set for GV1(home number) on SP1, E911 on SP2 and GV2(work number) on SP3.

I am trying to configure X-Lite to make and receive calls through SP3. i have been successful in changing inbound call, so Xlite does ring.  However, I am not successful at routing outbound calls through SP3.

I have tried **3 prefix to choose SP3 (**3xxxXXXxxxx), however, i get the OBI attendant which ask me to choose three options. Regardless of which option I choose, OBI is not responsive.

I am not sure if it is a problem With OBI or Xlite

Also I could use any suggestion to route call made from soft phone directly to SP3 without dialing prefix

Hi Punchy welcome to the forum.

By default calls coming into the OBi from your softphone number configured on OBiAPP/OBiON will only have access to your Primary Line for single-stage through dialling. Im guessing sp1 is your Primary Line at the moment.

How the calls are being routed is controlled by your OBiTALK InboundCallRoute. Yours probably looks something like this:

Voice Services -> OBiTALK Service -> InboundCallRoute:

Where 290123456 is your softphone number.

I suggest this:

Voice Services -> OBiTALK Service -> InboundCallRoute:

This will route numbers with no ** codes through sp3. To dial through sp1 prefix the number with **1.
