Ubuntu and OBI web access problem

It seems that the web pages of obi devices are not compatible to Ubuntu. I have tried both Firefox and Chromium, Firebox keeps giving xml error messages, while Chromium shows many empty pages. If I use a Windows computer, then both Firefox and Chrome work ok. Anyone has the same problem, and how to fix this problem? Thanks a lot.
