Obi202 damaged by lightning and replaced, but the backup file won't work on new

I hope someone can assist, as my entire phone system is down right now...

As stated, my original OBI202 was damaged by a power surge (along with other items in the house), and the dial tone wouldn't work anymore.  I tried to the reset button and numerous power recycles, but still no dial tone, so I pronounced it BAD, even though I could get to it via the web interface...

I thought "no problem, I'll just replace it and load up the config file I made and be back up and running quickly", but no dice.  According to Obi Tech Support, the file is only good for the Obi it was created on, not a replacement Obi.  They said they are working on changing that, but for now, I'm stuck...

I've added the new Obi202 to Obitalk, but now how do I get the 4 phone numbers listed in Obitalk to use the new Obi?  All 4 phone numbers are from 4 different Google accounts...

One phone number uses port #1
One phone number uses port #2
The other two phone numbers only use the ObiApp on Android phones.

They are listed in ObiTalk, but now how do I associate them with the new box?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Each google voice account will have its own service provider... SP1, SP2, SP3, SP4.

Your question may be more complex than I understand, but maybe not.

I have not tried the backup and restore but a thought struck me.

Each Obi has an Obi assigned telephone number and MAC address, etc

They are writing the Obi number (500 xxx xxx or 200 xxx xxx etc) to the backup file. You may be able to

1) make a copy of the Obi Backup file
2) poke the new Obi number in there instead of the old one
3) change any other specific info and try to reload to new device

I was able to restore my configuration from backup after my OBi110 died.

This is what I did:

System Management -> Device Update: Backup Configuration
Use OBi version Checked
Click Backup

Then:
System Management -> Device Update: Restore Configuration
Find Backup File in Browse
Click Restore

I don't see why the OBi202 would be different than an OBi110, but maybe it is.

The XML file would be different since the feature set is different.

I think what they meant was, that was the procedure they used on a 110. The procedure for the 202 might be the same set of instructions.
