Blue tooth adapter

Hortoristic:
Can someone elaborate just how the bluetooth adapter will work with my cell phone?  I have deadzone at my home, but AT&T gave me a Microcell tower that allows our cell phones to work in the house.

Will this adapter give us the same functionality?
