How to configure Auto attendant to make calls using the line connected to OBI110
(1/1)
kokku:
Hi,
I am new to obihai 110. This is my setup.
I have obihai 110 configured with google voice & ooma device. The ooma device is connected to Obihai 110 line port.
I am able to make out going calls with setup "PSTN" for my outbound calls. Calling to my google number(1234567890) & ooma number(9876543210) perfectly ring the phone.
I have added my mobile phone as a trusted caller and whenever I call my ooma number, obihai Auto attendant provide me a menu, from which I select option 2. After entering PIN number, gave the international number to dial in multiple ways.
a) gave the number 011912212345678 ( for calling india)
b) *008011912212345678 - to use the PSTN line
But it is failing with no service. I tried calling my google voice, but obi AA will never pickup my call and it goes to google voice mail.
Not sure what i am missing in the configuration. Appreciate any support.

kokku - welcome to the forum.
When you make a call using Auto Attendant Option 2, the Auto Attendant will use its Primary Line to try to place the call unless you prefix the call with a ** code. The default for an OBi110 is:
Voice Service > Auto Attendant > PrimaryLine: PSTN Line
Quote
a) gave the number 011912212345678 ( for calling india)
b) *008011912212345678 - to use the PSTN line
These did not work because the Auto Attendant is try to place the calls using the PSTN line, which is already busy as you are calling in on it. If GV is on sp1 then this should work **1011912212345678.
If you always want to call in on your PSTN line and use GV for calling out using the Auto Attendant, then you may wish to change its Primary Line as follows:
Voice Service > Auto Attendant > PrimaryLine: SP1 Service
Then you will not need to use the **1 code to select GV on sp1.
