network status IP address not available Reason 00
Taykadip:
I disconnected the power source from the Obi device for 10 seconds. When you reconnect the power source the device reboots. Problem solved. Pretty simple.
django:
That only solves it temporarily. The problem comes back again after a while.
mariposaetc:
so I've read the comments and unplugging or restarting isn't helping. my power light is still flashing. it was working last night and then all of a sudden stopped today. i turned off the router and the obi box. so is there a real solution or just a bunch of people giving advice that worked for them and not others? (so not trying to be rude, just so many answers that don't work). I'm not very techie so I don't understand a lot of this stuff.
ProfTech:
To mariposaetc Sorry you may not be able to apply a fix but there isn't a real big problem with your Obi. There are two possible solutions to this issue for anyone / everyone. 1. You can set your router to assign the same address to the Obi every time using DHCP. Or 2. As eluded to by drgeoff, reserve an address for the Obi in your router and statically assign that IP in the Obi manually. Either way will work fine but if you don't do one or the other you are asking for trouble. Sorry, but too many different modem & router types to give you details.

@ProfTech
The word "alluded" eluded you. :)
