Question below if you want to skip the little intro.  ::)

I recently got a OBi202 coming in tomorrow to set up at my home. I currently have centurylink as my provider in which am currently dropping their phone service and will currently just stick with their internet and in return am upping my internet speed to the fastest they got because it pretty cheap. :D This will allow my to have a slightly cheaper bill in the long run and It will be a set bill were I don't have to worry about the price always going up etc just because of the phone.

Here the question?

So my question is I will have the OBi202 to my modem that will be coming in on wednesday due to me upgrading to even faster internet "Cisco DDR 2200"  and was wondering if I can do the phone line directly from OBi to my house phone jack, so that way all the phones connected to the phone jacks tru the house will ring. But am not looking to fry my OBi thats coming in tomorrow. I do believe all my Phone jack lines are already split. But I just want to know if am able to plug OBi directly to my house Phone jacks. Any advice and help will be great.

I did do a google search and searching in general but this information is kinda vague or barely explained well. Thank you for your time.

Short Answer: Yes, disconnect your phone line at the interface to the Telco lines. Then connect one of the the Obi 202 phone ports to any house telephone jack, the 202 has 5 Ringer Equivalents, i.e., enough power to ring five telephone handsets.

Note Phone 1 jack has both phone lines on it. So if you use a single 4-wire cable, both lines will be fed to the jack.

Ok thank you for those links. I have a centurylink tech coming out on wednesday to the house to set up the faster internet service and I will have him physically disconnect the phone line from the tele company to my house first and to make sure all phone jacks in the house are completely dead and isolated.
