Obi202 Wifi w/ bridging mode

I have my obi202 connected wireless to my router.  I also have a ethernet printer (without wifi), and was wondering if i could connect my printer to obi's LAN jack and have my printer visible to my other home devices.   printer is far away from my router.

i tried putting obi into bridging mode, but obi keeps assigning it's own IP address to my printer (and manually setting my printer's IP didn't work either).
