Hi all,

I have been reading and watching all the Youtube videos for sometime, I need some answers before I buy OBI.

I live in Saudi Arabia (let's call it site A), the family lives in UK (site B), I don't want to use Google voice or any other VoIP service, in site A I have a broadband service (Fiber optics FTTH) from a local ISP with land line phone number (free local calls pack) and internet plan, in site B they have broadband internet service but no land line (they actually have one but I want to disregard it for now) what I need is to be able to do the following:
1- free calls from site B to site A (both ways).
2- inbound calls to site A should be forwarded to OBI + handset in site B.
3- be able to make free local calls from site B to site A's local PSTN network.

in other words I would like to be able to make free long distance calls (inbound + outbound), or let's say I would like to move/port/transfer the land line number from Saudi Arabia to UK so that my family in UK can initiate and receive calls using my land line number that is in Saudi Arabia, without needing to have a VoIP subscription.

is this possible ? if so what devices do I need and how to install them?...... please help

This can be done and it would be an easy setup.
You would need an OBi110 in Saudi Arabia to be able to access the landline.
An OBi100 would be sufficient in the UK, but for a future requirement an addition $10 an OBi110 would allow you to use the UK landline from Saudi Arabia.

OBiHai has their own network called OBiTalk. You would use OBiTalk to call between sites.
There are several ways to configure the OBi's to accomplish what you want.
The easiest way to call between the sites is to setup speed dials. You would dial a 2 digit number to call the other site's handset.
You could configure the OBi's when you dial a Saudi phone number on the UK OBi100 it would automatically be routed out the Saudi landline.
Inbound calls on the Saudi landline can be setup to ring the Saudi handset, the UK handset or both.

All of the above would use the OBiTalk network. No need for a VOIP subscription or move/port/transfer the landline.

Edit:
The OBi110 default configuration is for a N. American landline. You will probably need help configuring it for Saudi Arabia.

FYI, www.ukddi.com has free telephone numbers all over the UK, if you need an inbound out there.
