NooB Here and need some advice

I am thinking of going with the OBi100 for a home phone connection with Google Voice and have a U-Verse 3801HGV Res. Gateway and was wondering first off if this is compatible and secondly are there snags I should be aware of using this set up and thanks in advance to any and all.

Google Voice may not available for use with the OBi...  This topic is discussed all over this board, so time to do some reading.

Where did that nonsense come from?  OBi devices definitely work with Google Voice.  That link is ancient history at this point.
