After you get tektalk to be "connected" using Obitalk settings for generic service provider, reset the OBI.
Try an outgoing call. If you get the "do not dial 1 error" but it says "registered" go into obitalk expert configuration, service providers, and uncheck both boxes, then delete the <1> I used ISTP- a because I was using SP1 for tektalk
