add a new obi110 box into a working obi202 system
(1/1)
Oddy:
Hello,
I am trying to add a new obi110 box into a working obi202 system with obiplus so I can have a third phone. I downloaded and read the instruction but it is so difficult to understand. I have only 1 SP which is voipo. Will someone please help me with simple step-by-step procedure for connecting the obi110, and making the setting in obitalk and obiplus websites. Thank you very much in advance.
azrobert:
I never used OBiplus so I can't help you there, but you can easily configure the OBi's without OBiplus to do what you want.
OBi110 to make outbound calls on OBi202
On the OBi110
Set Speed Dial#1: PP(ob200111111)
200111111 = OBi number of the OBi202
Physical Interfaces -> Phone port
Add to beginning of the OutboundCallRoute:
{(<1*>(Msp1)):pp},
The above rule prefixes anything dialed that matches Msp1 with "1*". 1* points to Speed Dial #1.
On the OBi202
Voice Services -> OBiTalk Service
Replace InboundCallRoute:
{200222222>(Msp1):sp1},{ph}
200222222 = OBi number of the OBi110
Anything dialed on OBi110 that matches both OBi's Msp1 will be routed out SP1 on OBi202.
Oddy:
thank you for your help. Sorry but more questions, will the phone connect to obi110 ring on incoming call? Do I connect obi110 to the router or to obi220's lan connection?
azrobert:
To Route inbound calls to the OBi202 phone ports and the OBi110:
Change OBi202 Phone Services -> SP1 Service -> X_InboundCallRoute to:
{ph1,ph2,pp(ob200222222)}
The way I set it up using OBitalk, the OBi110 only needs access to the internet. It can be on a Lan in a different City. Connecting the OBi110 to the router will work. I don't have an OBi202, but connecting the OBi110 to the OBi202 Lan port should also work.
The path is from the OBi110 to the OBiTalk Server and then to the OBi202.
There is a more complicated setup which goes from the OBi110 directly to the OBi202. let me know if you're interested.
