- For the current situation (before May 15, 2014), you would configure the GV servers directly in Obi device (as shown in picture above)
- After May 15, 2014, your GV credentials would be configured in the Asterisk server.
- You would configure the SIP credentials (that you make up) from the Asterisk server into your Obi device. Make sure to secure your Asterisk server properly and use strong passwords.
People more knowledgeable than me can explain the inner workings of the Asterisk server but this is how I understand it.
