Google Contacts
BruceW:
Just a post to those that may still be using Google Voice to Fwd your Calls.
This does work ! And I want to share for everyone.
Due to recent changes by Google Voice to Google Contacts, there is no direct link to edit your Contact.
So here is the tip.
"Bring up the Contact record for the Contact whose outgoing greeting message you want to change. You can highlight and COPY the 16 digit ID number following the final forward slash "/" in the URL of your Contact and PASTE that into the following link after the final forward slash "/"
https://www.google.com/voice#viewcontact/ [paste contact ID here]"
Use the resulting link to edit your contact and change the outgoing voicemail message for that Contact.

It's much simpler to search for the contact in Google voice then click on the name and select "edit contact". It goes to the same page without the copy and pasting.
BigJim_McD:
In Google Chrome, go to Google Voice History.
www.google.com/voice/b/0?pli=1#history
Click on: "Google Contacts" midway down on the left of the page.
A new page should open with a list of your Contacts that allows you to select and edit a contact.

He is talking about editing the Google Voice properties of a Google Contact which is impossible to do via the link that you gave. Refer to post #2. That is the correct way to do what he is referring to.
