Just a post to those that may still be using Google Voice to Fwd your Calls.
This does work !   And I want to share for everyone.

Due to recent changes by Google Voice to Google Contacts, there is no direct link to edit your Contact.

So here is the tip.
"Bring up the Contact record for the Contact whose outgoing greeting message you want to change. You can highlight and COPY the 16 digit ID number following the final forward slash "/" in the URL of your Contact and PASTE that into the following link after the final forward slash "/"

https://www.google.com/voice#viewcontact/ [paste contact ID here]"

Use the resulting link to edit your contact and change the outgoing voicemail message for that Contact.

It's much simpler to search for the contact in Google voice then click on the name and select "edit contact".  It goes to the same page without the copy and pasting.
Long live our new ObiLords!

In Google Chrome, go to Google Voice History.

www.google.com/voice/b/0?pli=1#history

Click on:  "Google Contacts" midway down on the left of the page.

A new page should open with a list of your Contacts that allows you to select and edit a contact.

https://www.google.com/contacts/
works as it always has
or if you are logged into gmail, click gmail in the upper left of your screen and select contacts

He is talking about editing the Google Voice properties of a Google Contact which is impossible to do via the link that you gave. Refer to post #2. That is the correct way to do what he is referring to.

Yes, sorry I was not clear on this.
I was trying to set a voice mail message or greeting. for
an individual contact.  Not a group.
You can do it with your history. But not with
just bringing up the contact. History does not always have
the people you want.
Unless someone can post the steps to set an individual contact voice greeting. ?
You used to be able to do this but GV changed this.

As I mentioned, follow the steps in post #2 (the reply from giqcass)

Go to Google Voice
In the Search box, type in the contact you want to edit
When the contact comes up, click on it and select Edit Settings

You are now at the same screen you were trying to get to with your more convoluted method.

BruceW

Yes !
Ok thanks Taoman and everyone !
Good to know.
