Echo on incoming land line calls

Please let us know how you get on. I don't remember any reports of an OBi failing in this particular way before.

MikeHObi:
The only other thing I can say is to check the dmark to make sure the wires are well connected and nothing is causing them to touch each other or anything metal.

If you have verified the cord.  Have a phone plugged in and it works.  And you have verified the wiring in and out of the house all that remains is a bad obi.  You can open a support ticket and get them involved.

WI_John:
Thanks MikeHObi.

I verified the cord.
Phone with same cord plugged directly to the wall jack works excellent.
Obi to wall jack trying 3 different wall jacks all have the identical issue.
I looked at all wiring to the house and through the house and could not find any issues.

I guess I will have to wait for Obi support to get back to me...

Just tried one more thing with strange results.  I set the primary phone line to PSTN and tried calling out.  The dial tone sounds excellent as well as the first ring, then i get loud screaching and the call never actually goes though.  Don't know if this points to anything.

The dial tone you hear is generated within the OBi.  To hear the telco's dial tone from your line dial a single '#'.  You can then try dialling a call.
