The remote party hears echo of their own

(1/1)

NewLoGiK:
I've run trough quite a few treads about this here and I still can't figure this out. I have a OBI200 with Freephoneline.ca as SP. The Obi is directly connected to the main phone base (not using any house wiring)  and the base have 2 cordless phone. That said, on my side I've no issue at all, but if we call in, we have quite a lot of echo. I did replaced the cord between OBI and phone still same issue. QoS on / off on my Dlink DIR-657. I have no issue calling or receiving call, the only thing remaining is that echo and it's perhaps a big issue because all people calling me have this. What should I verify next ?  I also have dns set to 8.8.8.8 even if this shouldn't do anything but since some people claimed that could affect something. Anyways it was already set like this before.

Your help is greatly appreciated as this the phone I'd like to use more often.

Thanks,

Beg, borrow or steal an ordinary phone (the dumber the better) as a first test.

Really, wow, I'll give it a try.

The impedance option was the key factor :

600+2.16uF and no more echo. ;) At least since I made the change, I've receive a few calls and no more issues.
