Hello --

I'm trying to change the ring profile for my SP2 Service and the settings don't seem to stick.  This is part of efforts to follow the instructions in the posts below to fix the "double ring" behavior of my new PhonePower service (currently setup as SP2):

https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=3617.0
https://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=7769.0
http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=7677.msg49469#msg49469

Here's what I'm doing:
1.  Login to my obi100 device as admin
2.  Select Voice Services -> SP2
3.  Ensure that the "default" box is unchecked for X_RingProfile
4.  For the X_RingProfile popup, select "A"
5.  Click the "Submit" button at the bottom, Click OK to submit the changes.
6.  New page comes up that says "Configuration Update Successful.  Please reboot system to let new settings take effect."
7.  Click the Reboot button on the upper right side of the screen -- Device reboots successfully

Results:
Ringtone is not set to the (allegedly) saved value.  The change applied above has been reversed and X_RingProfile is still set to "B" (and the wrong ringer -- the double ring -- is still being played).

Note that if I go back to VoiceServices->SP2 Service to verify my changes have been set (before rebooting), they appear to be set.  However, they don't seem to stick across a reboot of the device.

Am I missing something basic about making changes here?

Thanks for your help.

Probably.  See http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=61.msg109#msg109

Figured out the issue:

I was mistakenly using the configuration pages built-in to the device.  After connecting to the "Expert" configuration pages from the Obitalk portal (http://www.obitalk.com/obinet/), I found a set of parallel pages that I was able to configure as above (that is, starting from #2).

Add my voice to list of people saying this is a needlessly confusing conflation of two interfaces. Undecided

My recommendation would be to add a big-flashing banner on the top of the device pages whenever they are being overridden by the obitalk portal (along with a link to the portal).
