GV# forwarding to new Anveo Obi plan.

Well 2 things actually.

First no matter what I do I never see the option to unlock my GV# to port it to Anveo.  It always just takes me to a useless screen when I use this link.

https://www.google.com/voice/unlock

QuoteTo unlock your number simply:

Go to www.google.com/voice/unlock and sign into your Google Voice account.
If you only have one Google Voice number click Unlock my number underneath your Google Voice number. If you have more than one number, select the number you wish to port away from the drop down menu and then click Unlock my number.

There is no option to log in from the first screen, and manually logging into GV there is no 'unlock' listed under my number.  The 'Change/Port' option is also useless.

That said leaving it as is and forwarding to a new Anveo number is OK.  But I do NOT want GV voicemail picking up.  I'm a man of simple needs and I'd rather just have my machine pick-up after 6 rings.  Anveo allowed me to extend my ring time with my original account, I'm assuming it will with the the new plan also.

TIA

What makes you think your number is locked?

Did you try using https://www.obitalk.com/obinet/pg/services/itsp?i=anveo and got a message that your number was locked?

Jackson

QuoteWorks fine with IE10 and Chrome.
I use Chrome.

I was going thru that process, when I got to the #s I chose to port my GV#, Anveo then asked if the number was unlocked and gave the first link I posted to unlock it.

I would interpret your screen capture to say that your GV number was not locked.

GV numbers are locked by default.  If it's unlocked, an additional message is displayed when you visit your GV account, telling you that it's ready to be ported out.

Well I got it.  Maybe this will help someone.

I have a separate gmail account for GV.  Turns out I needed to 'sign out' (just closing it wasn't enough) of my regular Gmail account first.  I then got the option to sign in from the link and the unlock option is now available.

Thanks to all who replied.
