Change phone number-anveo
(1/1)
Delb:
I have an anveo account. The phone number I was assigned formally belonged to a prescription refill hot line. I am getting dozens of calls for prescription refills. I submitted a ticket to anveo with no help. Anybody know if/how I can just change the number. or do I need to cancel the account and start a new one?
Jackson:
That's a drag.
You could try posting the same question at DSLReports in the Anveo forum.

Somewhere there might have gone through a similar scenario. An actual ANVEO rep sometimes responds.
I don't know if you have any reserve money in your account.
Maybe (just guessing) in your account you can go to Phone Numbers-> Manage -> then Order a New Number. verifying it works, then delete the original number. Don't know if it will work and I assume you will incur some costs.
Another alternative would be to get a new GV#. Often times they have a broader range of numbers/cities. It appears that Anveo is still offering a free port. GV will charge $5 to unlock it though.

My sister got a toll free number that had been used before and started getting calls. She liked the number and didn't want to change it.
I created a call tree (automated attendant) that gave the name of her business and to press 1 to speak with her. The message could also contain "If you are calling to renew a prescription, you have the wrong number".
This way the phone would not ring until someone took action to choose option 1.

That's a good idea. I had one that belonged to the Texas Medicaid department for Spanish speakers. The one I have now is based on my name and I was the first to have it and it never ring :) Thank God I found Obi considering what I was paying for Ring Central.
Also, if someone needs a toll free # 844 numbers are very likely to not be recycled. I grabbed a vanity one from CC before Anveo started provisioning them.
