Hello New member here from Ireland

I purchased a OBI-100 and set it up with a voip service here in ireland on SP1

All works great I have no pots line only voip everything works good caller id shows etc

I reset config with irish xml file from this forum and my digit map on ITSP profile A -General is

(112|999|[2-9]xxxxxx|023[2-9]xxxxxx|02[24-9][2-9]xxxx|01[2-9]xxxxxx|118xx|04[0-79]xxxxxxx|0[5679]xxxxxxxx|0818xxxxxx|08[2-9][012346789]xxxxxx|08[2-9]5xxxxxxx|18xxxxxxxx|15xxxxxxxx|048xxxxxxxx|00442xxxxxxxxx|00441xxxxxxxxx|00443xxxxxxxxx|00447xxxxxxxxx|00448xxxxxxxxx|00449xxxxxxxxx|0033xxxxxxxxx|001xxxxxxxxxx|0034xxxxxxxxx|00x.|19xx|171|14x.|<10:3000>|<1191:303>|xx.|+xx.|(Mipd)|[^*#]@@.)

Now that is double dutch to me as I am completely new to this

Only problem I have is when i dial a number like 8341942 there is a several seconds delay after i enter last digit before call starts to ring

Can anyone please tell me how to get it to ring out immediatly after last digit is entered

but please remember i am new to this so any advise will have to take that into account

thanks

Welcome to the forum - I'm glad you found the Irish profile easily.  I believe we need to update the xml profile to support local dialling.

The profile is missing syntax to match local numbers without the STD code - so you can copy and paste this over what you have:

(112|999|[2-9]xxxxxx|023[2-9]xxxxxx|02[24-9][2-9]xxxx|01[2-9]xxxxxx|118xx|04[0-79]xxxxxxx|0[5679]xxxxxxxx|0818xxxxxx|08[2-9][012346789]xxxxxx|08[2-9]5xxxxxxx|18xxxxxxxx|15xxxxxxxx|048xxxxxxxx|00442xxxxxxxxx|00441xxxxxxxxx|00443xxxxxxxxx|00447xxxxxxxxx|00448xxxxxxxxx|00449xxxxxxxxx|0033xxxxxxxxx|001xxxxxxxxxx|0034xxxxxxxxx|xxxxxxx|00x.|19xx|171|14x.|<10:3000>|<1191:303>|xx.|+xx.|(Mipd)|[^*#]@@.)

This adds a number match for 7 digit local numbers.

That's an impressive DigitMap!
A 3 second delay is normal for the OBi.
It will immediately send the call when the dialed number gets an exact match will a DigitMap rule and can't match another rule with additional dialed digits.
[2-9]xxxxxx will match 7 digits.
I might have missed a rule in the DigitMap, but xx. is the only other rule I see that matches 8341942 or 8341942 with additional digits.
xx. will match 1 or more digits.
Try removing "xx.|".
If the dialed number only matches rule "xx.", it will cause a 10 second delay.
Dialing a # at the end of the number will immediately send the call out.

I hate doing this.

Mark,
You missed the 3rd rule.

thanks very much for reply you say to try delete "xx.|" I am totally new to this never even heard of a digitmap I thought it was a map of your fingers

I see in this section of my map <10:3000>|<1191:303>|xx.|+xx.|(Mipd)|[^*#]@@.)
xx. and +xx. are mentioned could you please edit that section here to show me what xx you meant to remove

thanks again

Thanks again everyone for replies very helpful

I was just looking through all the settings on my OBI-100 trying to learn a bit

On the Physical Devices-Phone Port there is also a digit map

([1-9]x?*(Mpli)|[1-9]S9|[1-9][0-9]S9|911|**0|***|#|**1(Msp1)|**2(Msp2)|**9(Mpp)|(Mpli))

This is different to the one on ITSP A

does this make a difference as I am using a DECT Phone on the phone port

thanks again

This can get confusing! Basically the Phone Port Digitmap is a filter which decides what numbers can be dialled from the phone attached to the OBi. Consider the following:

(Mpli) = (Msp1) = ITSP A Digitmap.

(Mpli) stands for Digitmap Primary Line, which is ITSP A Digitmap in your case as your Primary Line is sp1. (Msp1) is nearly always the same as ITSP A Digitmap.

All the above means that your ITSP A Digitmap is within the Phone Port Digimap by the reference (Mpli).

Although by reference 112 and 999 are in the Phone Port Digitmap via ITSP A Digitmap, in the Phone Port Digitmap I would replace "911" with "112|999".

It makes no difference what type of phone is plugged into the OBi Phone Port.

Going back a few replies regarding removing "xx.". The advice is sound, although I think the extra delay is two seconds rather than three. Also the rule "[^*#]@@." behaves exactly the same as "xx." when digits are applied to it, so you might want to remove that rule as well.

"[^*#]@@." is to allow for sip uri calling (anything@anywhere.com). If you require sip uri calling it should be replaced with "[^*#]@@.'@'@@."

Long and boring explanations are available on request   :D
