Guys, I'm having a hard time to enable Obi200 web access. I tried 2 options:

IVR:

I dialed ***0
Then when I dial 30# I get the message: Invalid option.

When I try to access my Obi200 ip address I get the browser redirected to:

http://obi200ip/servlet?p=login&q=loginForm&jumpto=status

then the website displays:

The requested URL was not found!

How can I access the web access??

Please note I have an Obi200, not an Obi202.

kind regards
Gustavo

I'd do a factory reset (***8 ) and then follow the instructions on this page after your Obi200 is hooked up to your router.

azrobert

If you are trying to access the configuration pages via the local Web interface, type the IP address of the OBi200 into a computer browser and hit Enter.
The UserID and default password are both "admin".
To check if you have the correct IP address dial ***1

If you want to configure the OBi200 this way, you must disable Auto-Provisioning.
If you don't OBiTalk will overlay any changes you make.

System Management -> Auto Provisioning
Under OBiTalk Provisioning
Method: Disabled

I've just did a factory reset but I don't want to configure the Obi200 through Obi website as I understand it's a risk to security to allow a website to access my device. I do want to configure it from the local web management utility....

Use the web portal to set it up & then disable the auto provisioning per azrobert.
Exactly what kind of risk are you envisioning from a telephone box  ???

What do you hear after dialing ***1

I hear the ip address of my Obi200 as follows:

Basic Network Status
Your IP Address is 192.168.40.60
Your DHCP is disabled

azrobert

Is 192.168.40.60 the IP address you are using to access the OBi200?

gelcom

Yes ...

And when I try to access 192.168.40.60 on local browser I get redirected to:

http://192.168.40.60/servlet?p=login&q=loginForm&jumpto=status

then I get the message in the browser:
The requested URL was not found!

Is it normal that when I try to activate the web admin via IVR ***0 then 30# I get the message: Invalid option?

Does the Obi200 does not support web admin just like Obi202?

azrobert

I have an OBi200 and can access it with the IP address.

I get the same Invalid Option when I dial ***0 then 30#

Let's reset it again ...

on IVR I go:

***8 and then 1 to confirm reset to factory default.

After a few minutes I dial ***1 and I get:

Basic Network Status
Your IP Address is 192.168.40.105
Your DHCP is enabled

When I try to access 192.168.40.105 the browser gets time out after a few seconds...

azrobert

If you have a Windows computer, can you ping 192.168.40.105 from the Command Prompt?

Do you have another device on your network you can try to access the OBi200? A cell phone will work. This is a test to check if the problem is with your computer.

No I can't. I realized that if I try to access the Obi200 from a diferent subnet the access is denied but if I try to access it from the same subnet the access goes ok. For eg. if I try to connect to Obi200 from a 192.168.40.XXX everything goes OK but if I try to access it from any other subnet like 192.168.20.XXX the connection is broken.

This issue is not related to my network because if I try to access an Obi110 the connection goes OK from any subnet.

Maybe there is any restriction on Obi200 software to avoid access web admin from another subnet. Any ideas on how to 'release' that lock?

There's nothing wrong with your OBi.  Just access it from the same subnet.  There is no reason to be trying to manage it from another subnet.  Your issue is caused by your own router configuration.

There's no reason to be concerned about using the OBiTALK portal to manage your device.  As long as you are using a strong password, it's highly unlikely that anyone could guess your user name and password.  To date, there has been no reported incident that I can recall, of someone hacking into an OBi device via the OBiTALK portal.  If you want to use Google Voice with your OBi, you must configure it via the OBiTALK portal -- you can't do it via the local web interface.

Edit:

It occurs to me that you may have the "access from WAN" setting disabled on your OBi (which was what I think you were asking about all along).

I haven't tested this today, but this setting is on a page that isn't usually looked at, and I see that, by default, the device disables WAN access to the web server.  Setting it up using the OBiTALK portal enables this access, so it's never been an issue for me.  See the screenshots below.  One is from the OBiTALK portal, and the other is from the local web server.

I have the exact same issue.
" Dialing ***0
  30#"
I get the message: Invalid option.

It seems that
http://192.168.9.91
gets redirected to http://192.168.9.91/cgi-bin/login
which displays
"The requested URL was not found!"

The LAN is not connected to the internet, so suggesting that I
" follow the instructions on this page after your Obi200 is hooked up to your router."
http://www.obitalk.com/obinet/pg/obhdev/add )
does not work as it requires WWW internet access.

The ***0 30 stuff is ONLY APPLICABLE TO AN Obi202 or Obi302.  Those devices contain a router.  An OBi200 does not and web management access is always available via its single ethernet port.
