OBi200 and GV

Hi Folks:

I'm trying to configure GV to forward calls so that I can receive/make calls from the phone attached to my OBi200.  I don't see a forward to google chat button like it shows in the documentation.  I've already made calls from my GV account successfully. 

Any thoughts on what I need to do?  Other than a GV account and an OBi200, do i need to sign up for any other services on order to make/receive calls from my OBi200?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

You do need to make one outbound phone call, from Gmail via Google Chat (not Hangouts) to add the Chat destination.

It's amazing the research you have to do and the arcane steps you have to take year-after-year to make Google Voice work on a product that carries the Google Voice logo.

The only significant thing that has changed since the first OBi 110 was introduced, is the new, more secure OAUTH 2.0 GV account authentication method.  The only thing that is amazing is that the male personality trait of thinking it's not manly to RTFM never changes.

GV is not a generic SIP ITSP provider, and using it with an OBi device is just one part of a larger call management system, so there is more to setting it up and making full use of the service, than just plunking in a SIP user name and password.
