obiwifi issue

using 202 and added the wifi dongle.
Cell phone found it. Got a connection and it kind of works.
Here is the issue. Even with a line of sight within 10 feet the quality is real bad.
Breaks up pretty bad for both parties.
Here is something else. I never was able to get to the setup page 192.168.10.1 via the phone. I get a url not available message.
Tried the code to see what address it is using and get something along the lines of "not a peer" message.
What I want to know:
1: Is that setup page critical for good quality and how the heck do I pin it down?
2: Is this less than a class 1 dongle and the range/quality is bad for that reason?
Cisco router, WPA security.
Dongle address is 192.168.11.100 (courtesy of the cell phone wifi section)
Cell also reports excellent signal from 40ft away, 65 Mbps and no security.
Using Media5-fone as the dialer on the cell. Only one that would work on this phone for whatever reason.
Willing to try whatever to fix the quality before I give up and send it home.
thanks
