First time Obi user.  Love the device. Successfully configured freephoneline, GV, and SmartCall Voip service providers. However, I have problems setting up a different voip service called oriunde.
This voip has been flawlessly working (behind one or even two routers, no ports forwarded) for 10 years now on a Sipura SPA-1001 (configured by provider).
I tried it on a PAP2T and it worked (with Sip server, ID and Password info only), same router and even both ATAs in parallel (Sipura and PAP2T).
Long story short, I cannot make it to work on OBI202.
I get status Retrying Register (server=69.160.240.160:5060) or sometime: Paused. However, I can place a call but I cannot receive (no ring or busy at the other end).
I tried without success:
-   Disabled all service providers except this one.
-   Factory reset Obi and set up only this account.
-   Bypassed my router (connected Obi202 direct to internet modem)
-   Changed SIP port
I have (from the voip provider) Primary and secondary DNS  (PAP2T worked without), stun server (Sipura spa-1001 works without) and domain info, but I don't know how to set them up in Obi202. (I used ObiTalk portal).
Help please

What might be the reason(s) for a voip SP to work on older devices (Sipura SPA-1001 and PAP2T) with minimum configuration, and not working on OBI202?

azrobert

I did a host name lookup on 69.160.240.160 and got "mail1.numarderomania.net".
Is this correct?

Do they use SRV?
If yes, you must enable SRV on the OBi

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile X SIP -> X_DnsSrvAutoPrefix: Checked

I have no idea. However, I enable it -> same behaviour (now the status is Paused).

The only time I saw status "Paused" is when X_Proxy was enabled.

Voice Services -> SPx Service -> X_Proxy: Checked

I tried an outbound call and it worked, but the SP won't register to the provider.

Today only I've noticed Paused status.
I disabled the SP: Voice Services -> SPx Service -> X_Proxy: Unchecked, and later, I enabled it again.
Now the status is : Retrying Register (server=...)

Same behaviour here.

Maybe this will help (Original Sipura setings). However, PAP2T worked with SIP server, ID and Passw only (no DNS, stun or domain).

GG50

Somehow the SP does register to the provider (because I can place outbound calls), however Obi202 retries to register again and again, and I can't receive calls. I really would like to integrate all my voip accounts on my Obi202.

Any suggestions that might help me? Did anybody come across something similar?

Voice Services -> SPx Service -> X_Proxy: Unchecked
This is the default.

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile X SIP -> X_DnsSrvAutoPrefix: Checked
PAP2T has "Use DNS SRV"

Service Providers -> ITSP Profile X SIP -> RegistrationPeriod: 900
PAP2T has "Register Expires=900"
I believe some providers don't want you to re-register too often.

If this doesn't work, try posting your question at Dslreports.
Maybe someone over there is familiar with your provider.

I tried all this and same result as before.
Thanks for your help.
