Tried that route. I at least did get a response, although a wholly inadequate one. They told me to go to Amazon and search for the model name. Was truly helpful of them, lol.

When Amazon shows the status of a product as it does today for the 1062, it can simply be because Amazon itself is out of stock (don't ask me why they don't say "out of stock"). If they (Amazon) didn't have some sleeeezy third-party seller offering it for a jacked-up price, then Amazon's listing might instead say something like "we don't know if or when this product will become available".
So: I can't believe you couldn't get an accurate/helpful response from Obihai sales if you asked: "I see that the 1062 is currently out of stock at Amazon. When do you expect it to be back in stock?"
