NONA:
Android with wifi only. I can make calls
but can't get calls.
I don't understand why I have only 9 # as my Obi #??
can anyone call me?? or only obi users??
can someone please help

azrobert:
Each OBi device is assigned a unique 9 digit OBi number.
Only OBi devices can call an OBi number.
These calls use the OBiTalk network.
You can route an inbound call to an OBi ATA to any other OBi device or OBion.

To route an inbound call on SP1 to OBion make the following change using OBi Expert.

Voice Services -> SP1 Service -> X_InboundCallRoute: ph,pp(290123456)

Change 290123456 to your OBion OBi number.

NoHomePhone:
The instructions provided by azroberts, do the following

Jeff calls NONA

NONA's OBiHai answers and splits the call, NONA's OBi attached phones ring in the house, meanwhile it simultaneously is ringing the Software client OBiON App.

PH = phonehook
pp = obinetwork

you could also have it so that it uses your SP1 provider to call you and patch the call through it works identical to call forwarding.  Non of these setups require other people to have OBi products.  You can forward call and receive calls from others with OBis at zero cost though by using the OBi Network.  Sadly the OBi app for cellphones is a bit tough to use; and it's not always on.  I used my voip providers setup to create a subaccount for my phone and installed a different software.  The easiest would be to forward calls directly to your cellphone but then it would use up minutes on your plan, when it could be free over wifi.

Not sure how well I answered your question but I do have the evening off.  I can probably walk you through setting up some stuff if you want.  My family has a bunch of OBis now, and I'm the victim of family tech support duties *chuckle*

NoHomePhone:
If your family doesn't own an OBi they can still get a softphone account through the OBiON app.  I don't know if you can add multiple or what.  I only ever created one.  They would need an obitalk login to get a soft phone OBi number.  You may only get a limited number per OBi device.

What exactly do you want to setup, how do you want it to work/function.  There are more reliable voip clients then the OBiON app, if you want to get your calls.

Design a call flow, and maybe I can help you through it =]

incoming # > OBI > Ring wall/cordless phones
                           > Ring cellphone or tablet at the same time
If no answer on either go to voicemail ( pick one, local answering machine, voip voicemail, or cellphone voicemail).
