I had an OBI-100 that's worked for years and then my cat urinated on it and the lights went out and can't connect to the network.

So I bought an OBI-200 to replace it.

I had it connected to my PIAF PBX, but now when I connect the OBI-200 and try to dial out, I get a recording that says exactly what the Subject says:
The number you dialed... was rejected by the service provider.  Reason is 603.

The status on the dashboard says that it's Registered.  Pretty much everything is exactly the same.

I can connect to the PBX from a softphone and dial out normally.

Any suggestions on why the OBI-200 is giving me the 603 error?

Check the OBi Status - Call History to see what number is being sent to what provider.

603 Decline – Destination cannot/doesn’t wish to participate in the call.

Out of curiosity, where are these codes defined?

The OBI-200 is connecting to my PBX (FreePBX).  There shouldn't be any reason that my PBX is rejecting the OBI device.

Is the PBX rejecting the call or the service provider the call is being routed to rejecting the call?

Can you call another extension on the PBX?

Found the problem after disabling G.729 codec on Asterisk.  G.726 works but sounds distorted so I also disabled it.

I had 603 as well.  For me it ended up being an issue with the dial plan.  Hope this helps.
