Is it possible to configure E911 without dialing 9 before the number? My system requires for outside trunks to dial 9.
Thanks

Are you using Obiplus or have you posted in the wrong section of the forum?

Using Obiplus for Small Business with four IP Cisco SPA 508G phones. Any idea on how to be able to dial 911 without pressing '9' first.
So instead of entering 9911, I want to be able to dial just 911 to get connected.

I never used OBiPlus and know almost zero about it, so anything I say might be wrong.

Here is the OBiPlus tutorial:
http://www.obihai.com/docs/OBiPLUSTutorial.pdf

Page 34 shows how to setup DigitMaps for outbound trunks.
Try adding this entry:
Trunk: SPx
Dial Prefix: 9
DigitMap: (<9>11)

Dial 911 which will send "11" to the trunk.
The DigitMap will prepend "9" to the dialed number.

If you have multiple DigitMap rules for a trunk it looks like you would add a separate line for each rule, but I'm not sure.
