Title: Can I be notified automatically of new firmware?
Post by: Benobi on July 09, 2016, 02:21:02 PM
I used my OBI-100 (phone) just a few days ago. Today, it wasn't working, and I got an error I hadn't seen before (Backing Off (0s)). Turns out, there's a new firmware to install!

Is there a way I can be notified when a new firmware version is available/required?

Thanks.

If they would post a new reply to:

every time there's an update, I could get notified that way.

Many of us would appreciate such a service.  Actually OBi ATAs have the capability to be configured to automatically update their firmware.  However, Obihai hasn't used it lately.  They are also slow to update OBi-latest.fw and OBi2-latest.fw, and ***6 doesn't always work, so really it is very difficult to know that a new firmware is released.

At this time, this forum is your best source for firmware updates.  When a user discovers one, they post it here.

ALthough it may not be perfect, there is a NOTIFY button in the firmware forum.
