I am writing an application that gathers callerid from the obihai device,
does a reverse lookup, then distributes the info via yac protocol. This
will notifiy many types of devices, including macs, pcs (linux and windows),
and tivos. Right now I am scraping the status webpage, but I would like it
if you add callerid info to syslog output upon receiving a call. that would
be ideal. thanks.
Has there been any update on including caller ID information within syslog?
Did you get further along with your screen scraping solution to be something that could be reproduced, if you would be willing to share?

As of at least late September, Caller ID was still being provided from the Obi via syslog. See these threads for more info:
