Title: Updating Obihai 110 manually
Post by: ml4401 on May 18, 2016, 08:42:14 PM

Is there a procedure to update the device manually?  I could have sworn when I first bought and hooked up the device, there was a link within the dashboard interface that allowed for this.  Also, I thought there was a procedure to do this via. the phone connected to the Obihai, i.e., dialing a code.

Thanks.

No, they want $10 for the update.  I didn't appreciate that I had to find it out the hard way.

While it's true that Obihai wants your money, there's two ways to update firmware even if your device is out of warranty.

The first is by dialing ***6, 1.

The second is by manually downloading the firmware file and updating. For example,

Neither of these methods require the use of the Obitalk portal.
