Title: Firmware 4581 for OBi202, can't dial OBiTALK test number
Post by: a-h-k on July 07, 2016, 01:01:27 PM
The OBiTALK test number cannot be reached from my device.

"**9 222 222 222 is rejected by service provider. Reason is 404"

I wasn't able to make a call from the OBi202 today. My OBiTALK dashboard had a message that I had out of date software, although I never saw the yellow triangle on the dashboard next to the device as I was supposed to. I was able to download and install the firmware update (which I assume was 4581) and make calls.

Why can't I reach the test number?

Where on the Dashboard would I spot the latest firmware number installed on my device?

FWIW, I just got the same response from both my OBi202 (slightly outdated firmware) and OBi200 (loaded with firmware 5264 which shows up on the dashboard as current).  But they can still call each other.  I suspect there is a problem on the OBi side.

To find out what firmware you are running, from the dashboard get into the advanced configuration menu ("Expert" mode) and then click on "Status" -> "System Status".  The info can be found under "Product Information" -> "Software Version".

I don't know how to determine from the dashboard what OBiHAI considers the latest firmware load (except, of course, to have them install it on your unit).  The best way to keep current seems to be to read the forum regularly.

I'm getting the same thing here on my OBi200, using a regular phone set (AT&T ML17929) I can call my softphone number which is on my Android device and make and receive calls to regular POTS/VoIP numbers using Google Voice attached to my OBi200, however when I dial the echo service I receive the following error recording "(beep beep beep) The number you've dialed **9 222 222 222 was rejected by the service provider the reason is 404." At first I thought it was something with my AT&T phone but like I said when I could make and receive calls I new something was a-miss but not on my end. I've called OBihai support and hopefully they will respond ASAP to let us know what's going on.

Rick.

Thank you. 3.1.0 (Build: 5264); guess I was wrong about 4581.
