Title: Authentication Not Working
Post by: ml4401 on February 22, 2017, 04:26:03 AM
My OBi110 stopped receiving incoming calls after having lost power.   I can still call out from the device.  I realize the unit needs to be updated, too.  I'm attempting to update the unit in addition, of course, having it receive incoming calls again.  I got the IP address the unit recited to me by dialing the respective code.  Entering that IP address into a new web page (I also tried a new browser and a new web page) and as suggested by someone on the forum here, manually typed in "admin" into the respective authentic fields, and nothing happens.

Thanks

Hi:

You have been posting about similar issues for almost a year.

It's unclear if you were ever successful at updating your device, or what state it is in today.

Unplug the power cable and the Ethernet cable from the device.  Get a paper clip and bend out the end.  Gently depress the recessed reset button on the bottom of the device with the paper clip, and hold it in that position, while you plug in the power cord.  Keep holding the switch in for about 10 seconds, then release it. Wait for the device to complete the reset, which should make the power LED blink red briefly and the other LEDs blink for a while.

Do not plug in the Ethernet cable yet.  Pick up the phone.  Do you get a dial tone?
