Title: Obi200 Sip login problems after updating firmware (Solved)
Post by: james8945 on March 18, 2017, 04:53:02 PM
I hope I'm posting this in the correct section.

I have a bit of a problem updating my Obi200 hardware version 1.4.  I updated the stock firmware to OBI202-3-0-1-4581.FW manually and everything went well and it worked properly. A few days ago I did the another update using this method Dialing ***6 (and then pressing "1" if an update is available).  It stated an update was available and I pressed 1 to begin the process.  It updated my Obi200 to 3-1-1-5463EX.fw, that's when things didn't go well.

After the update, the first and second green lights lit up steadily, but the third or last light came on for about 10 seconds and then it went out. I tried unplugging the device and waiting for a few minutes before plugging it back in, but the same thing happened, the third led lit up for a few seconds and then went out.

I log into the Obi device using my browser, and everything looked fine except there was a message "Failure, unable to reach server.

I reflashed the Obi200 to 3-1-1-5577.FW thinking that maybe the 3-1-1-5463EX.fw might have been faulty firmware update or experimental, but the same thing happened.  I reflashed my Obi again back to 3-0-1-4581.FW and my Obi200 worked properly again, and was able to make and receive calls once more.

Can any one shed some light on what to do to get a more recent update that works, and as to what may have caused the "Failure, server is unreachable message" under SP1 Service Status page?

I have enclosed a screen shot of where the problem shows up.

Thank you

The following link was posted yesterday.   I upgraded an OBI200 and two OBi202's without any issues.

Thank you for your response.  I updated my Obi200 with 3-1-1-5589.fw firmware as suggested and the update went well.  But the third led light issue still popped up again.  I found the problem was a setting which I had changed previously.

Having problems with SIP Scanners?
Navigate to Voice Services-->SP(service you're using) Service-->X_UserAgentPort
Change this to something between 30000 and 60000

The solution was to change X_UserAgentPort setting back to the default and everything worked.

Thanks again as my Obi200 has the latest firmware update and everything is working well.
