Title: New Obi200 and digimap
Post by: Wilbour on November 22, 2017, 01:24:42 PM
I had to discontinue using my Obi100 as it would no longer connect.

When setting up my new Obi200 I see my Digimap under:

Service Providers
ITSP Profile A
General

is as follows: (*xx|1xxxxxxxxxx|<1613>[2-9]xxxxxx|<1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|011xx.|xx.|(Mipd)|[^*]@@.)

It looks like when I dial just the seven digits it prefixes it with 1613 (my area code). This is good since we have 10 digit dialing for local calls

It also looks like when I dial 10 digits it prefixes it with 1. This works too.

But every now and then when I dial 10 digits it dials out but the other phone does not ring. I can hear ringing on my outgoing phone but my cell does not connect.

If I purposely dial 1 first it connects no problem. After that it will work with just 10 digits.

Can anyone see issues with this digimap and tell me if it's just some odd things left over from my old Obi100 ?

What does the last parts of the digimap do?

This is the default digimap

(1xxxxxxxxxx|<1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|011xx.|xx.|(Mipd)|[^*#]@@.)

Ok so I must be missing something.

I tried to change the digimap to the default and submit changes then reboot but it stays the same

I tried to log into the unit with default: admin admin but I am denied.

This is brand new.

Any suggestions?

(Mipd) will match string 0*192*168*1*100 and convert it to IP address 0@192.168.1.100
[^*#]@@. will match an IP address.
You can remove these rules.

admin is the default PW. You probably changed it on the dashboard. Click on the Gear ICON next to your OBi200. See Web Admin Password.

If you are configuring you OBi200 from OBiTalk, you can't locally.
http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=61.msg109#msg109

Unclick both boxes to the right of the value to see the real value.

11 digits will be sent to your service provider when you dial 7, 10 or 11 digits, so what you're saying doesn't make sense. It must be a random problem that seems to be fixed when 11 digits are dialed.

Password thing has me perplexed.

If I go to 192.168.0.101 which is my IP address according to the device I can see all my settings

I can reboot but cannot login under User login.

I went so far as to factory reset my Obi200 and verfied my Web Admin Password is still admin

Interesting.

It's important to understand:  settings you make on the local web interface may be wiped out and replaced by settings on the web portal.  Do not use both methods to make changes.

Since you can't figure out how to get into the device locally, access it via the OBiTALK web portal, and make your changes there.  To edit a setting, you must remove both checkmarks from the boxes to the right of the value you want to edit, and you must scroll down and click the submit button to save the changes.

Your post is a little confusing. I assume you can login locally as "admin" because you can view settings and reboot, but can't login as "user". The Admin and User passwords are different. I never signed in as User and tried "user" as the password, but it failed. I then changed the User password and was successful signing in with the new PW. You need to use OBi Expert to change it and it is found here:

System Management -> Device Admin -> Under Web Server -> UserPassword

If you want to provision the OBi200 locally, signin locally as Admin.
Go to System Management -> Auto Provisioning
Under OBiTalk Provisioning
Method: Disabled

Now you can provision locally and won't have you changes overwritten, but won't be able to provision with OBiTalk.

Did you have any problems following the link I provided? If you didn't, then you can ignore SteveInWA's post.

I have a better understanding of the Obitalk  Web management. I had thought that accessing the device via it's ip address was the web based version.

I hope to isolate the issues with 10 digit dialing within the next few days. Perhaps it's just an issue with my cell phone.

Everything seems to work fine now.

I was wondering how the Digimap knew my area code and incorporated it into the string but when I reset the unit I realized one of the questions asked for this very thing (specifically for 7 digit dialing)

Thanks for the responses.

The setup wizard will add code for 7 digit dialing when the user answers the question you quoted. You can use OBi Expert to change any of the rules.

Here are some of the rules in you digit map and the meaning:

1xxxxxxxxxx - This will match an 11 digit number.
<1613>[2-9]xxxxxx - This will prepend "1613" to a 7 digit number. The number must begin with 2 thru 9.
<1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx - This will prepend "1" to a 10 digit number. The number must begin with 2 thru 9.

The following is something I posted for another user that you might find interesting:

Routing an outbound call is a 2 step process.
The Phone Port DigitMap validates the dialed number.
Rule (Mpli) will include the rules in primary line's DigitMap.
If the dialed number doesn't match a rule, you will receive a fast busy.

If the dialed number matches a rule in the DigitMap, the phone port OutboundCallRoute will get control and route the call to the primary line using rule {(Mpli):pli}

When the Phone Port DigitMap processes a dialed number, rule "<1>[2-9]xxxxxxxxx" will prefix a 10 digit number with a "1".
The outbound call route will see a dialed 10 digit number as 11 digits.
You can get in trouble using the Phone Port DigitMap (which includes the Primary Line's DigitMap) to modify the dialed numbers.

If you want to route a call to a trunk other than the primary line you must prefix the number with **n or add a rule.
