Title: Need Spain Tone Patterns
Post by: JMPR on June 15, 2018, 01:30:07 AM
I have just bought OBI300 EU version and need TonePatterns for Spain, and all the settings for phone port, etc.

Is it possible to have the OBI300 XML localisation or configuration files?

Thanks in advance.

You don't need any of that as your Obi300 will function with the default US settings.  However you may wish to have settings which match the local Spanish ones.  But there is no ready-made XML file for them.

Regarding the daylight saving, the parameters are the same as for the UK.

Regarding the tones, https://www.3amsystems.com/World_Tone_Database can provide the frequencies and cadence.  The Obi Admin Guide (available from the Docs page at obihai.com) has full details of the tone scripts.

Other parameters such as Caller ID format and Line Impedance you can use a search engine.

When you have all the parameters to your satisfaction don't forget to upload an XML file here for the future benefit of others.

I have been days looking fot this information in Google, with no results. I think Obihai should create scripts for all countries.

Where do I find line impedances, etc. for Spain.

And rrgarding tones, the format given by the website you mention are not the same format that the obi300 requires.

I'm a bit lost.

So you spent "days looking fot this information in Google, with no results" but I found the answer in https://pdfserv.maximintegrated.com/en/an/AN4867.pdf in less than 10 minutes.

My previous reply told you that the Admin Guide contains the info about the format the OBi uses for tones and cadences. Did you even look? http://www.obihai.com/OBiDeviceAdminGuide#_Toc367543110

THank you. It's difficult to me to set all those values. In fact there are little xml profiles in the forum, as they should be difficult to create. I have bought this product thinking they were the best for a home user, but didn't know that the setup had no options for country, for example. I have been using a cheap, no-brand Chinese ATA adapter in which you select the country and all settings for tones, etc. are loaded automatically. Perhaps an advanced product like this should be more friendly.

Anyway, thank you very much for your help.
