Title: GV and e911 settings after a number change (port)
Post by: kbva on January 16, 2022, 11:20:39 AM
I had a working (inbound and outbound calls) GV number on SP1. I decided to port my regular land line to that GV number (through T-mobile) which was successful (able to receive calls to the new number on the voice.google.com). I also activated the PunchAlert 911 service.

I can make outbound calls, but the inbound calls do not ring my phone line connected to Obi200.

I noticed in Voice services -> SP1 service -> X_InboundCallRoute is sp3(1231231234) (with 1231231234 being my old gv phone number). Changing that number to my new phone number does not work either.

My SP2 which is my other gv line has "ph" in the same line. Is that what needs to be there for SP1?

How can I make sure that my e911 is configured properly? In particular I want to make sure that the call back from 911 goes to my SP1. Does the X_InboundCallRoute have anything to do with that?

I am wondering if deleting SP1 and re-enabling GV on it would fix the issue. But would the new set up have the proper e911 settings?

Thank you for the help.

You ask about 911 but fail to mention where you purchase 911 service

Yes.
