I have opened a ticket asking for *SOMEONE* to moderate the forum in the hopes they can delete/stop all the spam.
When HP takes over it will be interesting to see if the forum stays as user-to-user or if they take an active part in support.
If I still worked at HP I would ask to take over moderation here, but alas, that ship has sailed decades ago. I only made it 17 years until Carly Fiorina decided to cut 1/3 of the workforce.
I agree that we desperately need moderation. The spam is 99% of the posts now.
What I'm happy about is that we real users lately haven't been adding to the pile with "^^^SPAM" follow-up replies which makes the entire thread "new/unread" again.

Agree about the forum spam problem. I would be happy to check in a few times weekly and delete spam. Your post seems to imply that one must work at HP in order to moderate, though?

Agree about the forum spam problem. I would be happy to check in a few times weekly and delete spam. Your post seems to imply that one must work at HP in order to moderate, though?

NO, my comment meant that since HP was buying Poly/Obi, perhaps they will do a better job with the forum.
I used to work at HP and would have (if I still worked there) been happy to moderate when that happens. I used to run computer BBs with forums and email, before it was a popular thing to use.
Anyone might be able to moderate a forum, but it does help to have an employee/representative of the company helping to enforce topics.
